We were in Gardiner most of the day today. We explored the area (well, I explored, Wendy used to live there) and visited with friends. Downtown Gardiner is very cool looking with lots of shops and restaurants. The weather has been so nice the last few days, but today our luck ran dry... or wet and cloudy, as the case may be.
We also went to Lewiston today. Lewiston is definitely not my favorite place to visit in Maine, but it's kind of cool to see the ginormous cathedrals they have there. You may not be able to see it from the picture below, but this church is HUGE.
Our main purpose in Lewiston was to go to a certain bakery and pick up some certain goodies for a certain someone, who may or may not read this blog.
After Lewiston, it was back to Brunswick for dinner. Tomorrow, we head to Boston and then Providence to see the "Book of Mormon" musical. So look for some very interesting posts in the coming days!
Besides another lovely visit with relatives, I took a spin by my old elementary school. Mind blown!
