New Haven, Foxboro, Conway

(Updated)

It took two and a half days of driving, but we finally got to Connecticut last night.  We were able to see NYC in the very far distance on our way to see Chelsea.  It's supposed to rain all day and Wendy is not happy about this (we haven't seen the sun in two days).  Today we got to have lunch with Chelsea (lobster rolls) and then went to the most awesome place: Foxborough, MA, home of the New England Patriots!! I was finally able to go to the Patriots ProShop, where I actually spent less than $200.00 (crazy!).  We also found the best sushi place in the USA.  It's called "Saga Hibachi and Steakhouse", and it's in the shopping center at the stadium.  After eating, I was the lucky one who got to drive as we skirted around Boston.  People are really crazy here... like, no one should ever complain about driving in Tucson again... you don't understand.  After hours of driving we got to Conway, NH which is where we will spend the next few days.  We have already taken one evening excursion to try to find a moose.  It didn't work, so we are planning to do it again tomorrow night.  Pics of the moose will be posted when we see one (and we *will* see one!).  They have tons of signs that say "brake for moose, hundreds of collisions", so I will be very disappointed if we don't see one.

From Wendy's perspective:

The photos tell the story.  It's cold.  And wet.  And gray.   I haven't seen the sun since Memphis., and as I posted on my own Facebook page, that is indeed snow on the side of the road in NH.  :-(

On the plus side, it was nice to spend some time with Chelsea and see her apartment, even though it looks more like some place a bunch of college boys, or bachelors, live.   I was nice and did not take photos.   :-)

Foxboro was cooler than I expected.  Not so much the stadium since we couldn't go in, but who knew there was a MASSIVE mall/shopping complex there?  Not me!  There were shockingly few people there today, but what a place, and all sharing a parking lot with the stadium.  The sushi really was to die for, seemed to melt in my mouth.  Yum!

If you're a moose, and it's spring, are you going to traipse around entertaining tourists or get your moose on? Just sayin'.
